Vacation
Here's Joe again.

He's still alive, though swimming quite slowly - the young monkeys are swimming much, much faster than he can. Sadly I think he is near the end of his life.
I'm going on holiday for five days tomorrow - hope the monkeys'll be fine! I'll feed them tonight just in case, and give them a very good aerating.

Joe
I almost lost Joe today.
I was aerating, and noticed him - or rather his absence. Usually he gets very excited and does his loopy dance when I aerate, but there was no Joe to be seen today! I was so worried!!!
After careful inspection I saw something wiggling inside the spaceship (I have the On Mars tank). It appears that there is a hole in the bottom of the spaceship, and Joe swam in there and couldn't get out again. It took me five minutes of pumping with the aqua-leash to get him out, poor guy! Those of you with On Mars tanks, this might be something to watch out for - sea-monkeys can get trapped in the spaceship.
He's swimming pretty slowly right now, but I hope he'll recover! He's a pretty old sea-monkey, but definitely my favourite.
Tank status: Much better! Joe and a number of sub-adults.

Still Not Much Happening
Current tank status: One big male, one adolescent unsexed seamonkey, and several wee jerkers
Today I named my big male - he was born sometime in April and is still around, so I thought he deserved to be named! He is the only big male in my tank so I have no problem with mixing them up.
Here's a picture of Joe:

He's an awfully active seamonkey so it was hard to get a picture of him, but I managed it! He likes to do backflips all around the tank and is an incredibly fast swimmer.
I'm hoping the unsexed adolescent will turn out to be female and repopulate my tank...hey, I can always hope, right?
