Three Weeks Old
They are three weeks old today. Numbers have declined to about twenty monkeys, but since I put plasma in yesterday, I see two or three tiny little wriggling dots - new monkeys!
They are quite big - the biggest are around 6 mm long - but still sexless. None have developed graspers (boys) or eggsacs (girls) yet, so I have no idea what my boy/girl ratio is. With any luck, I'll have a few girls to continue the line and give rise to a great Sea-Monkey Empire...:)
Here are some pictures I took today. They look like adults now - except for the sexlessness.
I also made a short video of one of them swimming over to a patch of algae (I hope it's algae!!) and grazing. Download it here - .wmv file, ~150 kb.
Den sound like a 18 year old excited to see a III film legally....
re the video: looks like a s**** is eager to form a fertilised egg...but eventually swam off the other side...
Posted by: bunbun at May 4, 2003 10:07 PMThose do look young! It looks like his tail got stuck near the corner as he got done checking out the clump of algae. Mine prefer their algae wet, when the alge is dry they tend to "spit it back out!" LOL

Kind of dissapointed as 2 adult sea monkeys died each day and my numbers are getting lesser. Anything that i have done wrongly or what thing i should do to keep the numbers ?
